As I entered my senior year at Pepperdine, a season of change and personal challenge pushed me to grow in unexpected ways. I found myself needing comfort and stillness. Frustrated with painting, I took a short break and began weaving instead, something that grounded me and gave me space to reset. When I returned to the studio to begin my thesis, I started painting scenes that felt peaceful. I focused on places I had experienced during my time in Malibu. I was especially drawn to Malibu winters, quiet, cold beaches with beautiful skies and the occasional student or local passing by. I also painted a piece inspired by the restaurant where I worked throughout college, a place that became a steady part of my life and growth. I ended the year feeling deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn and evolve in such a beautiful environment.

Since graduating, I’ve moved back to Florida and had the opportunity to begin teaching what I love. I’ve stepped into the digital space (check it out!) and have also had the chance to take on a few commissions that brought me back to the joy of painting. I'm excited to keep creating, connecting with others, and finding ways to make the world a more beautiful place.
